Here is a list of some of the best books:

(You can read reviews or more details of the book by clicking on its title!)

1. 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos:

Reading this book can really change the way you look at things. Even your regular everyday activity can have a different meaning (which one would probably swipe under the rug). The best part is that Dr. Peterson has explained concrete and complex scientific concepts in such layman’s terms that you would not have to read those hundreds of references (though it’s very compelling). The book is very practical and might even be complimented by his biblical lecture series. It does not matter whether you are a believer or not, the lectures really help understand very important life lessons with overwhelming importance.

2**. Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life:**

A short read, this book brings to you the idea of Ikigai, which translates to “reason for being”. The book is more like a study of the people of Okinawa and how they have unusually long lives spanning over 100 years. Those guys live very actively even in their late eighties. From nutrition to work, the book covers a wide variety of topics very briefly and yet lays enough emphasis on everything important. And yes, it also has a tutorial for Tai Chi!!!

3. Rich Dad Poor Dad:

After reading this you would get to look at finances from a very pragmatic point of view and would realize that it’s not that complicated to have a big bank account. Even though it seems like common sense when it is being read but as the margins of mentalities between those who make some money and those who don’t get clearer, Robert Kiyosaki’s advice becomes more and more irrefutable. After all, it is better to have a comfortable bed than to sleep on the floor.

Some books that come highly recommended that I’ve not yet read:

-Think and Grow Rich

-How to Win Friends and Influence People

-The Intelligent Investor
