Most of my friends were obsessed with the Shiva Trilogy back in class 11th (2018), which I read later in my college. But I started Amish with this series and am currently reading The War of Lanka.

Scion of Ikshvaku was an immersive read and in my opinion Amish had made this series better than the last one. The balance and engagement of this series is very fun. Sometimes the modernization of the myth gets amusing too, but is nonetheless a very enjoyable read. The way this series brings our mythology, and the attacks on the stigmas of our subcontinent, brings forth new views, reflections, and thoughts on our society, even though its fiction. And maybe because it is fiction, it does such a good job at it.

When I read The Warrior of Mithila, my initial thoughts were that why is it structured like this? Why follow this type of narrative? ITS SUCH A DRAG😩. But after reading The Enemy of Aryavarta, all that changed. Now I don’t know about how accurate this book is with the original texts, and I do care about that, but ignoring that it is based off one of our Holy Books, and considering it a standalone, the character of Raavan is mind blowing.
